A house cat is a kind of cat that lives with humans.
HISTORY:
Cats were first domesticated to kill mice and rats in barns. People didn't care if their cat died much back then. They'd just get another. But cats won humans over with charm and became more popular than dogs. Cats weir worshiped in Egypt. There are more than 30 breeds of domestic cat. Humans have ben dumping hundreds of cats in cities and towns, where they die, find a new owner, or learn to survive. These feral cats can be a problem, and the number goes up greatly when a feral can gives birth to a litter of kits. Lots of human are trying to help by adopting them or getting them spayed and released.
FACTS:
All cats are carnivores, but sometimes eat grass and leaves. A newborn kit doesn't open its eyes till its 7-20 days old. Both parents will take care of them, but some feral dads rarely bring food.
